Challenge Period 5: 12:00:01 p.m. ET 4/9/17—11:59:59 a.m. ET 4/12/17
An Instagram account is required to enter this Contest and is available for free at www.instagram.com. Follow @royalcaribbean on Instagram, where the Sponsor will provide the World’s Most Adventurous Squad Contest post for each Challenge Period (each a “Challenge Post”). At the beginning of each Challenge Period, a Challenge Post will instruct entrants to post an original photo that follows the respective Challenge Post’s theme (the “Challenge Theme”).
During the Contest Period, entrants must log on to their public Instagram account and post a photo or video that complies with the instructions set forth in the then-current Challenge Post and these Official Rules.
Entrant’s post must include a 3—4 person (including the entrant) “Adventure Squad” (the “Squad”). Create your Squad by tagging the Squad Members in the photo with their respective Instagram usernames, and include in the caption the hashtags #AdventureSquad and #contest and the mention @royalcaribbean. Each Squad’s entry must contain all the Squad Members’ Instagram usernames, whether or not the Squad Member is in the photo. Each Squad Member will be entered to participate in the respective Challenge Period. Once entered, any Squad Members may post photos on behalf of the Squad, but are not obligated to do so.
The entrant who posts the first photo for the Squad is designated as the “Squad Leader.” A Squad Leader may serve as the Squad Leader of one Squad only. If the Squad Leader is the leader of more than one Squad, only the first Squad under that Squad Leader may qualify, i.e., any other Squads are disqualified. Squad Leaders must be 21 years of age or older.
Other entrants tagged in the photo are designated to be “Squad Members.” Squad Members must be 13 years of age or older. If any Squad Member is under the age of 18, that Squad Member’s parent or legal guardian must also be the Squad Leader. Entrants may be part of up to three (3) different Squads. The first three (3) Squads created, based on time, are the Squads attributed to the Squad Member. Once created, a Squad is valid for the current Challenge Period and all subsequent Challenge Periods, and does not need to be recreated for each Challenge Period. A Squad cannot be dropped and replaced with a new Squad.
All entrants’ Instagram accounts must be set to “public” (i.e., an account where anyone can view or subscribe to your photos). The Instagram account through which entries are submitted may not be a shared, corporate or organization account. Each entrant must use only one Instagram account, email address and identity to enter the Contest.
Entries must comply with the “Submission Requirements and Content Restrictions” set forth in Section 3, the Challenge Post and all other requirements set forth in these Official Rules.
Entrants consent to receive from the Sponsor or Independent Judging Organization (defined below) an Instagram direct message and/or email for the purpose of notifying them that they are a potential prize winner.
An entry must be submitted during the applicable Challenge Period to be eligible for judging for that applicable Challenge Period.
Each Squad Member may post up to a limit of ten (10) photos per Squad, but each photo/entry must be unique. An identical duplicate photo shared by a Squad Member or Members on Instagram will constitute a single entry, regardless of whether the photo’s caption is different.
Except for any material licensed to Sponsor herein, Sponsor may obtain license for use of all entries. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned, except as provided herein.
Proof of submission of an entry will not be deemed proof of receipt by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to void all entries by an entrant who submits the same entry multiple times or enters by using multiple/different or fraudulent email addresses, social media accounts or identities, or any other entry method that is not allowed under these Official Rules. Entries generated by script, macro, third-party entry services or other automated means are void. The time of entry receipt is the post time per the Instagram platform regardless of the displayed time on any computer or other timekeeping device. Entries received from any Squad Leader, Squad Member or Instagram account in excess of the limitation will be void.
By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to their full and unconditional agreement to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Independent Judging Organization, which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest.
Eligibility: The Contest is open only to legal residents of the United States, Canada (excluding the Province of Quebec), Australia (except Tasmania), Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Iceland who, at the time of entry, meet the minimum age requirements stated in Section 1. Void elsewhere and where prohibited by law. Entrants must be able to travel as described in Section 5 below, have a valid passport, no criminal record and no travel restrictions. Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, MullenLowe U.S., Promosis, Inc. (“Independent Judging Organization” or “Promosis”), their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, authorized agents, sales representatives, distributors, advertising and promotional agencies, and members of the immediate families (defined as including spouse, biological, adoptive and stepparents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren, and each of their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) or households (whether related or not) of any of the above are not eligible to enter this Contest. Noneligibility or noncompliance with any of these Official Rules will result in disqualification, at the discretion of the Independent Judging Organization. Entrants agree to the release of their contact information including but not limited to name, address, mobile phone number and email information to Promosis, Inc., for winner notification purposes and for public winner disclosure as required by law, as well as a Tax Identification Number for taxation purposes. The Contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations.
Submission Requirements/Content Restrictions:

The above list is not intended to be exhaustive. If an entry is determined by the Independent Judging Organization or Sponsor to be in violation of any of the foregoing requirements, or unsuitable for inclusion in this Contest for any reason, the entry will be deemed ineligible. By submitting an entry, entrant hereby warrants and represents that the entry conforms to all requirements and restrictions set forth herein and that publication of the entry via various media, including web posting, will not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any third party.

Creativity: How unique and distinct is the entry photo?: 25%
Theme: How well does the entry photo capture the Challenge Theme?: 25%
“Adventureousness”: Is the entry photo exciting, exhilarating and stimulating?: 50% Collectively, the “Judging Criteria.”
Judging/ Winner Notification/ Verification:
Selection of Semifinalist Squads:
Challenge Period entries will be judged by Promosis and a qualified panel comprised of Sponsor’s marketing department and advertising agency experts during the week following each Challenge Period deadline. Judges will select up to five (5) Semifinalist Squads for each Challenge Period, based on the Judging Criteria listed above. Sponsor reserves the right to select fewer than five (5) Semifinalist Squads (or none at all) if the Contest does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and/or qualified entries in any Challenge Period, as determined by Promosis, in its sole discretion.
The five (5) Squads in each Challenge Period earning the highest average scores of all their posts, as determined by the judging panel, will be reviewed and voted on by the judging panel, using the above criteria in Section 4, to determine the preliminary Semifinalists of their respective challenge.
Promosis will contact the Squad Leaders of the potential Semifinalist Squads, via Instagram direct message, to obtain email addresses and contact information for all Squad Members, which will be used for general eligibility verification. The Squad Leader must respond to the Instagram direct message within forty-eight (48) hours of Promosis sending the message. Upon obtaining all of the requested contact information from the Squad Leader, Promosis will further contact Semifinalist Squad Leaders and Squad Members via email and/or regular mail and/or phone to complete and return a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (unless prohibited by law) within three (3) days of the affidavit being sent. Failure to sign and return requested documentation within the specified time period, failure to participate in the online interview (described below), the inability of Promosis to contact a preliminary Semiifinalist within a reasonable time period or noncompliance with these Official Rules by any preliminary Semifinalist will result in disqualification.
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who, in the Sponsor’s sole opinion, engages in any conduct via social media that is inconsistent with Sponsor’s brand or that may reflect negatively on Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to conduct a background check on each Semifinalist and reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any Semifinalist based on the results of such background check, if Sponsor determines in its sole discretion that awarding the prize to such Semifinalist might reflect negatively on Sponsor. Factors that would result in disqualification as a Semifinalist include, without limitation, any criminal arrests or convictions or delinquency on government-ordered payments, such as child support, spousal support, alimony, tax payments, etc.
Selection of Finalist Squads:
Verified preliminary Semifinalist Squads will be required to participate in a recorded group online interview via Skype (or another online tool) with Promosis, to be reviewed by the judging panel to determine Finalists. The online interview will be scheduled by Promosis; all Squad Members must participate. Recorded interviews will be reviewed and judged by Promosis and a qualified panel comprised of Sponsor’s marketing department and advertising agency experts. From review of the recorded group interviews with the Semifinalists, judges will select one (1) potential Finalist Squad from each Challenge Period, for a total of five (5) potential Finalists. This will be based on, but not limited to, each Semifnalist Squad Member’s contributions to the interview and answers to interview questions, the Squad’s overall sense of adventure, personality, outgoingness, brand fit and overall perceived suitability for inclusion in the final Grand Prize judging round aboard a selected RCI cruise ship.
Promosis will email the Squad Members of potential Finalist Squads to verify eligibility of each Squad Member. Each Squad Member of the potential Finalist Squad must complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and liability/publicity release (where permitted) that must be returned to and received by Promosis within two (2) days of the date sent to the Squad Member of the potential Finalist Squad.
All contest communications and interviews will be conducted in English. In the event of a tie in any rounds of Semi-Finalist or Finalist judging, the tied entries will be re-judged using the identical criteria until the designated number of preliminary Semi-Finalists and Finalists are determined. Challenge Period Finalist Squads will be announced as they are verified.
Selection of Grand Prize—Winning Squad:
Verified Finalists must travel and participate on a Caribbean cruise to determine the Grand Prize—Winning Squad (“Onboard Challenge Cruise”). Finalist Squads must travel on dates specified by Sponsor; otherwise the Finalist Squad will be disqualified, any potential prize will be forfeited, and Sponsor will have no further obligation to such Finalist Squad Member or Squad. As part of the Onboard Challenge Cruise, each member of a Finalist Squad will receive: a seven (7) night Caribbean cruise on Harmony of the Seas departing on May 27, 2017, from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and returning on June 2, 2017, to Fort Lauderdale, Florida; round-trip, coach class air travel from a major gateway airport nearest to the Squad Member’s home (as determined by Sponsor) to Fort Lauderdale (flights may include stops and/or layovers); hotel accomodations in one (1) hotel room to be occupied by two (2) Squad Members during the day/night before the cruise departure date; one (1) double-occupancy balcony category stateroom to be occupied by two (2) Squad Members during the Onboard Challenge Cruise and ground transportation between the Fort Lauderdale airport, hotel and cruise port. While on the Onboard Challenge Cruise, the five (5) Finalist Squads will participate in a variety of hosted challenges, expeditions and competitions, which will be recorded for Grand Prize judging purposes. Grand Prize judging will be conducted by a qualified panel comprised of Sponsor’s marketing and advertising agency department experts, under the supervision of Promosis, the Independent Judging Organization. The Finalists will be judged on the recordings of their on-ship experiences approximately between May 27, 2017, and June 2, 2017, to determine the one (1) overall Grand Prize—Winning Squad, based on each Finalist Squad’s content, which will be judged on the following equally weighted criteria: enthusiasm, “adventurousness” and creativity.
The Grand Prize—Winning Squad will be announced on or about June 2, 2017, following verification. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements of these Official Rules. Sponsor is not responsible for the inability of a winner to accept a prize in accordance with these Official Rules. Any individual entrant determined to be invalid or ineligible according to the judging criteria and eligibility requirements after being selected as a potential Semifinalist, Finalist or Grand Prize Winner will be disqualified and no longer considered to be a Squad Member. If the remaining Squad consists of at least three (3) members, they may still be eligible to be prize winners. If the Squad has fewer than three (3) members, that Squad will be disqualified and the entry that received the next-highest score from the judging panel in the applicable round of judging will be deemed the Semifinalist, Finalist or Grand Prize Winner (as applicable).
