During a 16-week semester, students will pursue numerous opportunities through academic field studies, shore excursions and independent travel. The port program is highly integrated into the academic program, making for a sophisticated learning experience. Onboard, students will be completely immersed in a multicultural living environment. The international student body and staff form a learning community that integrates academic, cultural, and social experiences in programs that would be virtually impossible to duplicate elsewhere. Students are being recruited worldwide to ensure an intercultural learning environment. Worldwide voyages aboard The Scholar Ship will be 16 weeks in duration, offering a compelling itinerary to eight ports spanning five continents in which several days are spent to provide students an enriching experience through their participation in field programs, excursions and independent travel. Come September 2007, The Scholar Ship embarks on its inaugural voyage in Athens (Piraeus), Greece and sails westward on a compelling itinerary through Europe, the Americas, the South Pacific and Asia… September 2007 Itinerary
