Are there plans to continue bringing more ships to Australia during the southern hemisphere’s summer season?
– Wayne H.

We are excited about our deployment and plans for Australia. It is a popular destination which, combined with New Zealand, provides a number of unique ports and great guest experience.  For the upcoming season, our 5th, we offer 36 sailings with a variety of itinerary options on Rhapsody of the Seas as well as Radiance of the Seas. The programs for the two ships compliment each other and provide itinerary options to the South Pacific, Queensland, Tasmania and New Zealand as well as two “Round Australia” programs.

For the following season we will dramatically increase our presence, as well as options for our guests, with the introduction of Voyager of the Seas to Australia.  You can learn more here.

Are there any plans in the near future to promote a cruise that goes around the world?
Thomas P.

At this time we do not plan on offering a cruise around the world.

Has Royal Caribbean considered doing the 3 night cruise to nowhere from NY/NJ during the summer months?
– Michael

We do not plan to offer a cruise to nowhere product.  Our goal is to deliver the vacation of a lifetime to our guests.  We strive to provide the best, most innovative ships, features, destinations and personalized service.

I would like to see other Caribbean destinations besides the usual East/West Caribbean destinations. Why not consider raising the bar on destinations different from the rest of the pack?
 – Lisa L.

Lisa, thanks for the feedback.  We will continue to offer Southern Caribbean seasonal cruises on Adventure of the Seas as well as Serenade of the Seas this winter and Brilliance of the Seas for the 2012-13 winter season.  These ships home port out of San Juan, Puerto Rico and offer weekly 7 night cruises which call on destinations such as St. Kitts, St. Thomas, Tortola, Aruba, Curacao, Antigua, St. Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, Dominica and Guadeloupe.  Please reference the individual sailings to see which specific ports of call are for each itinerary.

In addition, we have Grandeur of the Seas deployed seasonally out of Colon, Panama with a weekly 7 night itinerary to Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire and Cartagena.

Is there any truth to the rumor that a Freedom class ship will be coming to Cape Liberty, NJ in 2012?
My husband and I have been on the Explorer 19 times. We just returned from a cruise on Explorer to Bermuda last week. We are booked on the Explorer in March 2012.
I am going to be planning a cruise from Cape Liberty for sometime either July or August 2012 and would love to book a new ship. If not then we will continue to go on the Explorer. We live 15 minutes from Cape Liberty and it is convenient for us.

You get 1 point per night on a cruise. To get to our next statis, we are gold now, how many points do you need to get there. Do you get extra points for booking more than 1 room. Thank you, Gary Yates

Why is the Independence not shown for Christmas 2012. Those of us in the UK need a ship going out of Southampton and the Independence has been wonderful. Please confirm you are not taking it away from us, as is the gossip on the other ships.

Like Lisa L, I would also love something different than the Eastern/Western similar destination. It gets old. I would love a cruise to the Southern Caribbean or a real Western Caribbean with stops like Honduras and Panama without having to catch a flight. i.e. departing from a FL port. Other cruise lines offer those trips, and as much as I hate to, I might just have to go with Carnival for such a trip. I wish RCL would step up their game in the Caribbean! Not the same old St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Haiti, Falmouth, Cozumel stops!

if only suite guests children are allowed into the CL who will be policing to make sure no Diamond Plus are bringing their kids into the CL ?..according to posts on
cruise Critic… several have made phone calls to RCL regarding this issue and were told only suite guests would be allowed to bring in children…

Hi Adam, Love RCL it’s the only way we travel.
Will there ever be a souther caribbean cruise that leaves from Miami?

Why did RCL stop doing the Mexican Rivera cruise leaving from LA? and will it ever return?

Any plans for adding mini laundromats? I am mostly loyal to Royal but I love this amenity on Princess – especially when cruising in hot climates.

  • Leonard Hoyt

I agree that Caribbean cruises need to be changed. We sail out of Baltimore and sailed to the western Caribbean, Easton Caribbean, and New Englan. We also sailed on Explorer out of NJ. to the Southern Caribbean.
We are booked on a cruise to the Bahamas in March 2012 on Enchantment of the Seas.
On the Southern Caribbean cruise out of NJ. we stoped at the same ports in the upper Caribbean as we did on the Eastern Caribbean cruise.
We sail to see differant ports and only care to go to a port once. If we want to see a port a second time we will book another cruise to the same port.
We loved the cruise to the Western Caribbean out of Baltimore and would like to see it be available on Enchantment of the Seas.
