Official Royal Caribbean Cruise Schedule for 2015-2016

We announce the upcoming deployment of our ships throughout the first half of each calendar year. We typically state what they’re going to be doing from one year in the future until two years in the future. Sometimes we are so immersed in the period of time we’re about to announce that we know more about the dates and the holidays of the future period than the year in which we are actually living.

Sometimes the announcements are noteworthy and/or surprising. Rarely are they as significant as the three programs we revealed on August 16th: Quantum of the Seas to Shanghai, China for the summer of 2015, Liberty of the Seas to Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ for the summer of 2015 and Anthem of the Seas to Cape Liberty for the winter of 2015/2016.

The New York and Shanghai markets are both very important to the Royal Caribbean International brand. In New York, we have systematically built up our presence, from one small ship in the summer for the Bermuda program in the mid-1980’s to Quantum-class to the Caribbean in the winter and Freedom-class to Bermuda and the Caribbean in the summer as of 2014/15. We are very pleased to bring Liberty of the Seas into Bermuda service after the long and excellent run that Explorer of the Seas has had in the New York area. We also look forward to Anthem of the Seas’ arrival at Cape Liberty a year and a half from now after she completes her maiden season of cruises out of Southampton, U.K. to the Mediterranean. For those readers who had been asking for more variety in our New York area presence, we will now offer Explorer, Quantum, Liberty and Anthem before the end of 2015.

As for China, we have also been systematically building our presence there, starting with one Vision-class ship in 2008 and graduating to two Voyager-class ships in 2013 and again in 2014. With the addition of Quantum of the Seas in 2015 we are cementing our leadership position in the rapidly emerging China cruise market, or “cruise economy” as the Chinese say. While the Chinese tend to take vacations of less than 7 nights, we have scheduled a number of 7 and 8 night cruises for those who would like to travel to a fascinating part of the world and enjoy our newest Royal Caribbean ship class.

Anthem of the Seas was originally going to a winter home in Port Everglades following her initial season in Southampton. For our customers who prefer to take cruises from South Florida, we are sorry to have re-routed her to Cape Liberty. Of course, Port Everglades remains the home of Oasis-class and many other outstanding Royal Caribbean ships. While we haven’t said what our third Quantum-class ship or our third Oasis-class ship will do after we take delivery of both of them in the spring of 2016, at a minimum we will have more state of the art ships to place in more itineraries. That’s something to look forward to wherever our readers live.

Adam, first of all, congratulations on your new position. It is well deserved.

Thank you for keeping us all up to date on what goes on behind the scenes at Royal Caribbean. I can only imagine the logistical challenge involved in planning itineraries and placement of both new builds and existing ships.

  2. Michelle Lima

I had booked the Allure for the last week in May but recently found out that I need to modify my vacation for the first week in June of 2016. Do I need to wait for Spring 2015 to view what is shipping out for “summer” of 2016? I had already paid some against the vacation I booked and would like to actually just leave the Saturday I was originally returning on , that falls in June.

    • Royal Caribbean International

Hi Michelle, we estimate that by the end of the year we will have the rates and availability for June 2016 and any changes to the reservation can be made without penalty prior to the final payment date.

  3. Chris Evans

I am planning a cruise for June of 2016 and obviously from the previous comment I can see that those dates may not be up until later this year. I was hoping to take advantage of the buy one get one 50% off deal you have for those cruises but the offer ends on July 15. So my question would be, will the June 2016 cruises be posted before this offer expires?

    • Royal Caribbean International

Hi Chris, Regretfully our 2016 cruise schedules will not be available to book by the time the Buy One Get One 50% off promotion ends. However, we do expect that the itineraries for cruises lined up for summer 2016 departures will be available by March-April 2015.

  4. Roseleen McGarvey

Can you tell me what Quantum of the Seas schedule will be after June 2015, I can’t find any itinerary details for Quantum past this date.

    • Royal Caribbean International

Hi Roseleen, the Quantum of the Seas itineraries haven’t been released yet. We hope to have them available by the end of July 2014. Stay tuned!

      • Catherine Harford

I’m on the Quantum of the Seas cruise ending June 24. I’ve been waiting for the following cruise to be released before I plan my airfare and land tour. I will have to book those within the next few days. When will the June 24 cruise, and subsequent cruises, for Quantum be released?

        • Royal Caribbean International

Hi Catherine, Thank you for your inquiry regarding the upcoming Quantum of the Seas cruises. At this time we have not received any new information, however you can always find the most current updates on our website:

My wife and I are booked for the Quantum of the Seas first Caribbean cruise January 3rd 2015 and can’t wait to get on board and see the magnificent job Royal Caribbean has done with this new ship. We are surprising our 14 year old granddaughter and are taking her with for her Christmas present.

  7. Beth Moore

I am booked on one of the Allure of the Seas Mediterranean itineraries in May 2015. Thinking about adding a cruisetour in advance of the cruise, but it doesn’t look like there are any available dates for May 2015 yet. Could you tell me when you plan to release cruisetour dates for the European itineraries? Thank you!

    • Royal Caribbean International

Hi Beth, Unfortunately we have discontinued cruise tours for all European sailings. We hope you enjoy your trip in May.

Am booked on the Quantum 4 cruises until June 24 2015 and would like to carry on once in Shanghai when itinerarry is released – Japan etc –
One query – will the smoking policy change once in China as with your other vessels cruising the area? I am an occasional smoker and have no axe to grind either way but simply interested.
    Regards B.

    • Royal Caribbean International

Hello Bruce, The smoking policy onboard will still be in effect while in China. Hope you enjoy your sailing on Quantum of the Seas.
