Thankful for 50 Million Guests and Countless WOWs

We recently welcomed our 50 Millionth guest onboard our cruise ships.  I’d like to thank our Crown & Anchor Society members, all past guests as well as our crew, employees and the travel agent community in helping us achieve this important milestone.  Below is a Thank You letter that explains why this milestone is important to me and also shares how you may celebrate with us all year long.

Dear Friends,

It is with great pride that I share our most recent Royal Caribbean International® milestone.This summer we welcomed our 50 millionth guest onboard our ships.

Since 1968 we have strived as a company to deliver unparalleled vacation experiences to our guests, and today we pause to reflect on what reaching this milestone means. First and foremost, it means we have phenomenal guests. Thank you for trusting us with your precious vacations. We understand we have an enormous responsibility to uphold each time you cruise with us, and rest assured that this is our number one priority. Your support and feedback is the inspiration behind everything we do, and the reason why we won’t settle at good enough.

It also means that we have the most talented, passionate, and dedicated crew and employees in the business. Not just today, but every day, we have cause to celebrate because the men and women at Royal Caribbean go above and beyond to provide our guests with Gold Anchor ServiceSM and deliver the WOW. I’m honored to work alongside such hard working and inspiring professionals.

Marking our 50 millionth guest also means that the travel agent community believes in us.Simply stated, thank you. We would not have gotten here without you and we believe that your partnership is our most valuable industry asset and a crucial part of our success.

As we look ahead, the future is bright. We have been fortunate over the years to consistently be recognized by Travel + Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, Travel Weekly and the World Travel Awards as the best in the travel industry, and are dedicated to exceeding that level of expectation.     Exchanged Our wedding Vows on The Song Of Norway Caribbean Cruise December 19th 1984 !! What a wonderful time . Will be celebrating Our 30th wedding anniversary This December 19th on The Navigator of the sea caribbean Cruise. Can hardly wait it’s going to be a great Time !!!

    My wife and I are from Scotland and 5 years ago we went to dinner on the first night of our RCCL cruise. There we met a couple of a similar age from Ontario, Canada and immediately struck up an excellent relationship. A relationship which has developed into a truly remarkable friendship. We have since taken numerous RCCL cruises with them both in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean and have another 3 cruises booked for 2014, again with our dear friends from Canada. In addition we have visited each others’ homes and families on 3 different occasions and they are about to visit us again in Scotland in 2 weeks time.
    Had it not been for RCCL we would never have met those who have become our dearest and best friends.

    I know this has been a long time in coming, but I really want to share my gratitude and admiration for the crew of the Brilliance of the Seas during our Dec 5-15 2010 Mediterranean cruise. We encountered a huge storm during our voyage to Alexandria which closed the port and forced us to remain at sea with many other vessels. In an attempt to avoid collisions, the pilot reduced the Brilliance’s speed, deactivating the stabilizers and letting us in for a few minutes of pitching and yawing. Our party was below decks, so we suffered only a little damage, none bodily. The captain and crew acted so quickly and efficiently to take care of us that we were impressed. Yes, there were passengers and crewmembers who were injured, and the poor ship creaked and groaned like an old sailing frigate. But the important thing is that during the rest of the trip to Malta, the crew and captain worked overtime to make sure all passengers were taken care of and our every need seen to–and we knew that many of the crew were injured but still working hard. At no time did we feel neglected or shorted of what was reasonable under the circumstances, and we were able to finish our cruise comfortably and enjoyably. So–A huge WOW to that gallant, brave, skilled, and superbly trained and devoted crew and captain of the good vessel Brilliance of the Seas!!!! Your hard work and efforts have not and never will be forgotten by this family!!
