Check-in and boarding time information The boarding time for your ship and sailing date is specified in your Guest Vacation Documents. Please do not plan on arriving at the pier prior to the specified time as the ship will not be ready to board guests.
Due to new government regulations requiring cruise lines to submit final departure manifests at least 60 minutes prior to sailing, guests are requested to complete Online Check-in no later than 3 days prior to their cruise. If you do not complete Online Check-in 3 days prior, you will be required to complete this process at the pier at least two hours prior to the published sailing time. Please note: All guests must be checked-in and onboard the ship no later than 90 minutes prior to the published sailing time or you will not be permitted to sail. Travel Documentation Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the required travel documents you will be asked to provide prior to boarding the ship. Caution: The requirements described on our Travel Documentation page are required by government regulations and policies. They are subject to change without notice. Directions to the Cruise Terminals and Parking Information Please visit our Directions to the Pier section to obtain parking information, directions to the pier and transit information where available.
Ground Transportation For guests who have made their air arrangements through Royal Caribbean (and are arriving on the day of boarding), our airport meet & greet staff will meet you in the Baggage Claim Area or outside of Customs (for international flights) to direct you to your transportation between the airport and ship. Please refer to your Transfer Voucher for more specific details on transportation, meeting locations, start times and frequency of transfers.
Guests that are Cruise Only (i.e., have not made air arrangements through us) may also purchase this transfer service (called Royal connections) separately. Please contact your travel agent or contact us for details.
If you drive to the departure port, parking is typically available on a first-come first-served basis at most piers for a minimal fee. But every pier does vary.
Traveling with a minor without the parent or legal guardian Should the last names of the parent and minor child traveling with them differ, the parent is required to present the child's valid passport and visa (if required) and the child's birth certificate (original, a notarized copy or a certified copy). The name of the parent(s) and the child must be linked through legal documentation.
Adults who are not the parent or Legal Guardian of any minor child traveling with them are required to present the child's valid passport and visa or the child's birth certificate (original, a notarized copy or a certified copy) and an original notarized letter signed by at least one of the child's parents. The notarized letter from the child's parent must authorize the traveling adult to take the child on the specific cruise, must authorize guardian to sign legal documentation/waivers for participation in any activities requiring them (i.e. Rock Climbing, Flowrider, Bungee Trampoline, Inline Skating, or Ice Skating) and must authorize the traveling adult to supervise the child and permit any medical treatment that must be administered to the child. If a non-parent adult is a Legal Guardian, the adult must present a certified certificate of Guardianship with respect to the child. Visitor's Policy Guests Visitors: Guests sailing on board Royal Caribbean International ships are not authorized to have visitors onboard the ships.
Travel Agents: All arrangements for travel agents to visit our ships for business reasons must be authorized in advance through the Sales Department.
Exception: For those that are attending a wedding reception onboard, you will be processed through the wedding planner to obtain approval to board the ship. Stateroom Upgrade Stateroom upgrades are subject to availability at time of check-in at the Cruise Terminal for a nominal fee. Rates are based on category and itinerary. Dining Information All dining information will appear on your SeaPass Card that will be distributed to you after check-in. Any changes to your assigned seating must be done onboard the ship. VIP Check-in VIP Check-in is available for guests in suites and loyalty members who are Diamond Plus, Diamond and Platinum levels. VIP guests must proceed to the "Priority Check-in" counters upon arrival at the Cruise Terminal.
Restricted Price Programs It is important that at least one guest per stateroom be eligible to be considered in compliance with a restricted price program. It is also important to note that non-compliance of the restricted price program terms will result in the reservation being re-priced to the lowest available fare for that particular day. Furthermore, you will be responsible to pay for any differences immediately or else your boarding rights will be denied. Guest traveling back to back sailings or on consecutive sailings Guests on consecutive sailings (also known as back to back guests) must ensure they have the proper travel documents for their entire cruise vacation.
