Q:  Does Argentina collect an airport entry fee?
A:  Effective July 01, 2013 Citizens of the U.S., Canada and Australia will be required to pay a reciprocity fee when entering Argentina via any port of entry whether by air, land or sea. The fee must be prepaid before entering Argentinian territory including territorial waters.

The government of Argentina will collect an entry fee as the following:

  • - $160 USD for U.S. Citizens – Valid for multiple entries over 10 years.


  • - $75 USD for Canadian Citizens – one trip, one entrance and reentry from bordering countries for 3 months or $150 for multiple entries for 5 years.


  • - $100 USD for Australian Citizens – Good for multiple entries over 1 year.

Payment must be made prior to arriving by following the instructions below:

1. Go to www.migraciones.gov.ar or www.provinciapagos.com.ar of Provincia Pagos and register to start the process.

2. Complete the form with the corresponding personal and credit card information.

3. Print the payment receipt.

4. On arrival in Argentina, this printed receipt must be presented at Immigration Control. The receipt will be scanned by the Immigration officials, the information will be checked, and the traveler's entry to the country registered.

Please Note: ALL guests entering Argentinian territorial waters MUST pay the fee in advance. This include guest making a port of call and back to back guest not disembarking in Argentina. Whether the guest gets off the ship or not – the fee MUST be paid.
