Q:  What is 128-bit encryption?
A:  When personal information, such as your name, address, credit card, etc., is submitted through secured web pages it gets coded, or scrambled, to protect your privacy. 128-bit encryption is the key that is used to code the information when it leaves your computer, as well as to decode the message when it arrives at the recipient. Previous versions of encryption included 40-bit and 56- bit, but 128-bit allows for even greater security and is the highest level of encryption generally available today.
