Hop onboard an unguided 30 minute bus transfer to Marigot Bay famously described as the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean. The bay is a historic landmark and natural hurricane shelter for many yachts and it was used as the setting for the 1967 film adaptation of Hugh Lofting's Doctor Dolittle books. Scenes of the shipwreck, Great Pink Sea Snail, and the construction of the harness for the Giant Lunar Moth were filmed in the bay. Upon arrival, a representative will orient you with the location. Create your own itinerary; enjoy a scenic stroll of the Marina, browse through the Marina Village, take a refreshing swim or just sit back relax and admire the idyllic scenery.
Hop on board this unguided bus transfer to Marigot Bay tucked away on the scenic west coast of St. Lucia. To get the most of it, create your own itinerary upon arrival. The bay offers a full-service Marina which provides exclusive berthing facility for yachts of all sizes and the Marina Village with its wide range of shop, boutiques, French bakery, bank and supermarket. Dotted with bars and restaurants filled with visitors and locals alike, the bay remains busy and vibrant throughout the year.
You may take a scenic stroll within the Marina, walk around the Marina Village, enjoy some shopping, spend some time at the small secluded beach or just sit back relax and admire the scenery. It is your responsibility to be at the drop off/collection point in time for the return transfer to Castries harbor. A representative will be on the ground to assist as necessary.
Notes: Each guest would be familiarized with the area. The drop off/collection point would be clearly indicated. A basic transfer will be provided and also a representative will be on the ground to assist guests as necessary. To identify your guests, they will each be issued with a wrist band – a different color for the AM and PM departure. The beach is only accessible by ferry from the Marina dock. A ticket must be purchased and will be required to board the ferry to and from the beach. Guests must take good care of the ticket once purchased. The ferry ride takes approximately 3 minutes one way. The ferry is very basic and accommodates up to 15 persons at a time. US currency will be accepted but change is provided in local currency. Minimum age to participate is 6 years of age.
