Scenic Drive and Walk to Carbet Falls - GU08

Leaving the port of Pointe-ą-Pitre, you will travel in comfortable coaches to one of the most attractive place of Guadeloupe, the Carbet waterfalls. The sources are coming from volcano Soufriere, culminating at 5403 feet and terminate in the sea at Capesterre Belle Eau. Your guide will lead you on a picturesque road penetrating deeply into the tropical rain forest and to the mid level fall, 330 feet high. On the way back, you will stop for at the Hindu temple of Capesterre the largest in Guadeloupe, a surprising testimony to the impressive cultural diversity of the people in the Island. There is approximately 30 minutes of walking on this tour.

Journey into the rainforest wilderness where you'll see breathtaking waterfalls and an incredible Hindu temple. The Carbet waterfalls has been closed to the public since an earthquake in 2004 devastated the area. Despite this, with the guidance of a knowledgeable guide, you'll walk through tropical rainforest to access the 330-foot high waterfall, fed by the Soufrière volcano. After, you'll learn about Guadeloupe's cultural diversity at the Hindu temple of Capesterre.
