Jurassic Coastal Walk (Durdle Door/Lulwoth Cove) - JT06
Take a guided walk through time to the era of the earliest dinosaurs. From the Dorset heights of Hambury Tout, site of an ancient burial mound, you'll look down upon a beautiful semicircle of fossil-filled rock, one of Britain's greatest natural wonders. Down on Lulworth Cove beach stands the Jurassic Coast's famous Durdle Door arch - your chance to photograph a 140-million-year-old landmark. Look closely to see the rippled imprints of prehistoric forest leaves.
Highlights: • Durdle Door: Eroded over eons into a nearly perfect limestone arch, this is one of England's most popular natural attractions. • Lulworth Cove: Enjoy its broad vistas, sheltered pebble beach and walking paths beloved by locals for centuries. • Hambury Tout: Stand on the highest point in Dorset, with postcard-perfect views of Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove.
