Copenhagen City Sights & the Royal Danish Theater - CPA2

Copenhagen – the capital city of the kingdom of Denmark since 1417 – is a city in which the modern developments of the 20th century have been blended with the older buildings and monuments to form a thriving and harmonious environment. Pass the main highlights including the Town Hall Square, Tivoli Gardens, the New Carlsberg Glyptoteque, the National Museum, the Christiansborg Palace, home of the Danish parliament, the old Stock Exchange and the residence of the Royal Family – Amalienborg Palace.
After completing a short tour of Copenhagen, drive to the beautiful Royal Danish Theatre.

Everyone should at some time visit The Royal Theatre. The building is old, but the house is filled with atmosphere. It is thrilling to think that many of the historical famous people who you read about, have visited the house on King's Square.

The Royal Danish Theatre is both the national Danish performing arts institution and a name used to refer to its old purpose-built venue from 1874 located on Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen. The theatre was founded in 1748, first serving as the theatre of the king, and then as the theatre of the country. The theatre presents opera, the Royal Danish Ballet, classical music concerts (by the Royal Danish Orchestra, which dates back to 1448), and drama in several locations. When arriving to the Royal Theater you will have a guided tour. The tour ends with a look into the main stage (if no rehearsals are going on). After visiting the Royal Theatre you will return to the pier.

During the tour, photographic stops are made at the Little Mermaid – the diminutive statue, which has become the world famous symbol of Copenhagen, as well as at Amalienborg Palace.
