OVERVIEW: This tour is designed for fulltime wheelchair users who would like to enjoy the sights of Naples, one of Italy's oldest cities. In Naples' historic city center, guests will see old-world architecture and historical of this capital city of the Campania region.
HIGHLIGHTS: Tour Naples in comfort and see the 13th century fortress of Castle Nuovo, Piazza della Borsa and Piazza Plebiscito. Enjoy a view of the city from atop Posillipo Hill and pass by the Port of Mergellina.

This tour is designed for fulltime wheelchair users who would like to enjoy the sights of Naples, one of Italy’s oldest cities. In Naples’ historic city center, guests will see old-world architecture and historical sites while taking in the culture of this capital city of the Campania region.
-Castle Nuovo: See the 13th century fortress.
-Piazza della Borsa: Pass the Stock Exchange and the Galleria Umberto I.
-Piazza Plebiscito: Stop at the most beautiful square in the city.
-Posillipo Hill: Enjoy a panoramic view of Naples.
-Port of Mergellina: Pass by the small port.
Enjoy a tour of Naples from the comfort of your coach. Leaving the port, your first destination will be the 13th century Castle Nuovo. The fortress served as the residence of the kings of Anjou, Aragon and the Spanish Viceroys. You will continue past the Piazza della Borsa, home to the elaborate Stock Exchange Building. In the piazza, you will also see the Galleria Umberto I, lined with beautiful lamps and 19th century buildings containing some of the most elegant shops and cafes in Naples.
A stop will be made at the Piazza Plebiscito; the largest and perhaps most beautiful square in the city. Here you will see the vast 17th century Royal Palace, San Carlo Opera House and the Church of St. Francis. At Posillipo Hill, you'll have time to photograph the excellent panoramic view of the city. You will then enjoy refreshments at a local Neapolitan cafe.
During the tour, you will also have approximately 30 minutes of free time for shopping. On your return to the ship, you'll pass by the port of Mergellina.
What to Bring:
- You should take your SeaPass card (provided onboard the ship) and photo identification when in port.
- Camera and cash for shopping
- Sun protection and sunglasses
What to Wear:
- Light clothing and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
-This tour is designed for those guests who have walking difficulties, are not able to handle steps or extended periods of walking or standing, or are full-time wheelchair users.
-The vehicle used on this excursion is adapted with an access ramp (or lift where available) to accommodate a limited number of wheelchairs. In order to use the ramp and/or lift, guests must be seated in a wheelchair or scooter. Due to liability issues, participants cannot stand on the ramp to be lifted into the vehicle.
-Guests interested in this tour must contact in advance of the cruise the Shore Excursion Department at email@example.com to review availability and departure times. Guests wishing to utilize a wheelchair (manual or electric) on this excursion must provide the Shore Excursions Department at firstname.lastname@example.org with the total dimensions (height, length, and width) and weight of the electric scooter or wheelchair at the time of booking. Use of a motorized scooter is not guaranteed on this excursion.
