Departing from the pier, you'll pass Mount Vesuvius as you begin your coastal drive south to Sorrento. On the way, you will see typical villages and the Dolomitic Cliffs rising straight up out of the sea. They have characterized the Sorrento Peninsula for many centuries.
Your first stop is the fabled town of Sorrento. Legend states it was the "sirens" at Sorrento who attempted to lure Ulysses onto the rocks. This delightful town has a wonderful climate and a marvelous view of Naples Bay which combine to make the village a favorite Mediterranean resort. While in town, you will have the opportunity to watch as a local artisan gives a demonstration on the age-old process of wood-carving. Then take the time to stroll around the main square and explore the side streets of Sorrento. There are many souvenir shops which offer highly polished wood inlaid with beautiful marquetry which is considered a local specialty. Enjoy approximately 1.5 hours to explore this charming town.
The tour will regroup and proceed to a typical pizzeria where you will have a great time at the pizza-making school. You will discover that the only thing better than learning to make real Neapolitan pizza is eating it for lunch.

- Casual clothes and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
-Guests must be able to walk approximately 200 yards over even surfaces with 5 - 10 steps.
-Walking during the free time in Sorrento (approximately 1.5 hours) is at the guests' discretion.
-The drive between Naples and Sorrento is approximately 1.5 hours each way, dependent upon traffic conditions.
-Due to traffic restrictions of the Sorrento center, a short walk from the motor coach drop off point to the main center and vice versa will be required.
