Overview:
The highlight of this tour is the mysterious Drach Caves which are also home to the largest underground lake in the world.

Highlights:
-Porto Cristo: An historic island anchorage
-Drach Caves: Mysteriously beautiful caverns with the largest underground lake in the world
-Pearl factory: Watch artisans continue the tradition of manufacturing  pearls in the Balearic Islands.

Full Description:
Travel to the town of Porto Cristo, one of the oldest anchorages on the island. This fishing village is located at the end of a sheltered bay. It expanded in the Middle Ages to cater to the needs of the inland town of Manacor.  Today Porto Cristo is popular with visiting yachts because of its deep harbor. On the outskirts of Porto Cristo you will find the famous Caves del Drach. This series of mysterious caverns is a natural phenomenon that play with shadow and light, thus creating abstract images whose interpretation is limited only by the observer's imagination. The beauty of the caves can be appreciated thanks to its exceptional lighting. You will also admire the largest underground lake in the world, known as Lake Martel.  You will have approximately one hour in the caves.

Re-boarding the coach, your final stop will be at a pearl factory, known for its long tradition of manufacturing  pearls in the Balearic Islands. You will see the process which has been kept secret through the ages. This artisan process, using marine raw materials, is continuously improved under strict scientific control. You will observe why the attempts to achieve quality imitation pearls have all been unsuccessful. Time permitting, you’ll have the opportunity to browse and shop in the pearl gift shop.
