Explore the best this historic port has to offer, from the Gothic architecture of its cathedral to the scenic views from Bellver Castle. Proceed with a drive along the seafront to Bellver Castle, meaning "beautiful views." The castle is a unique circular caste atop a 370-foot hill overlooking the city and harbor. A short walk from the parking area takes you across a drawbridge into the impressive courtyard of this beautifully restored former royal stronghold. Your guide will escort you through the castle grounds and you'll have time to climb the ramparts for photographs of the bustling city below. Your tour continues on to Palma's La Seu Cathedral.
La Seu Cathedral, built 750 years ago, is Spain's second largest Gothic cathedral and is surrounded by splendid grounds as picturesque as the cathedral itself. You will have time for photographs of the cathedral's dominating spires. In the cathedral’s museum, you will see interesting works of Gothic paintings.
Your final destination will be Palma's bull ring, finished in 1929. You will see many examples of the Baroque period in its design and architecture. The building was perfectly constructed with four main boxes oriented to the cardinal points. Your guide will point out the most important aspects of this landmark from the outside.
