Overview: Explore the east end of Roatan and indulge in local life at the island's heart. Have your camera ready at "The View," a hilltop with spectacular views of the north and south shores. Then take a "motor dory" to Jonesville Harbor, known as Roatan's Venice, where you'll see colorful houses on stilts and locals commuting in water taxis. End with a visit to Punta Gorda, where African Garifuna people practice traditions of their slave ancestors.
