Once you are met & greeted at the port and transferred to the site, you will be assisted to purchase your tickets for Ephesus and will be given your iPod specially loaded with information about Ephesus with which you will be able to have information about the different locations in this site as per your interest. You can get to know more about the Odeon, the Agora, the Prytaneion, Domitian Square, Trajan’s Fountain, the Temple of Hadrian and also the most beautiful structure in all of Ephesus The Celsus Library which was built in the 2nd century and was the third largest library in the ancient world. At the end of this street is the Great Theater. followed by the ancient Harbor Road is also known as the Arcadian Way. In ancient times countless important people walked this street from Alexander the Great, Antony and Cleopatra and Julius Caesar, to the apostles Paul and John and even the Virgin Mary. You will reconnect with your guide who will accompany you back to town. At the end of the tour, your guide / escort will meet you at the lower gate and accompany you to visit Ephesus Theme Park for a refreshment stop and exclusive interactive show. Once you are back in town, there will be an optional shopping stop with an educational presentation on the history of carpet-making and time to enjoy just browsing through the sprawling town of Kusadasi.
Notes: You will be transfered to the ancient city of Ephesus with a guide / escort who will meet & greet you and accompany you on the way back. Guests must be able to walk approximately 1,5 miles over uneven and cobblestone surfaces, inclines and 10 - 30 steps. Comfortable walking shoes and clothing, a hat and sunscreen are recommended. Insect repellent is recommended in July and August. Guests need to watch their step at all times in order to avoid injuries. Due to the nature of this tour, it is highly recommended that guests with walkers or wheelchairs and for persons who have difficulties in walking, climbing, and/or managing steps not take this tour. The admission fee to Ephesus Open Air Museum is included and tickets will be provided upon arrival to the site.
