Full Description:
Depart from the pier and drive to Athens where your coach will enter the city center along Syngrou Avenue. You will ride past some of the famous sites including the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the largest Corinthian style temple in Greece. You will see how Hadrian's Arch separates the old and new Roman towns. Other sights on your ride include the National Gardens, the National Library and Parliament Building, formerly the Royal Palace. You’ll see the Panathenaic Stadium, site of the first modern Olympics held in 1896.
The highlight of your tour is the Attica Zoological Park where you will have approximately 2.5 hours to explore. The zoo has the third largest bird collection in the world and includes walk-in aviaries with birds from the continents of Asia, Africa and America. The "World of Reptiles" has pythons, boas and crocodiles while the "Greek Fauna" showcases wolves, brown bears, foxes, and wild cats. The "African Savannah" is home to giraffes, zebra, antelope, lamas, jaguars, snow leopards and rare white lions. Younger visitors always enjoy seeing the farm animals.
At the conclusion of your time at the zoo, the return drive to the port is approximately 1 hour, depending on traffic conditions.

-You should always take your SeaPass card (provided onboard ship) and photo identification when in port
-You will need Euros and/or credit cards for any purchases as foreign currencies are not accepted.

-Sun protection, including sunglasses and a hat
