Shore Excursions
Taganana - TF66

Capital enviornment, yellow sand beach, lush mountains, the sea beating furiously against the rocks ....You will discover all this and more during this excursion. In an environment forgotten by the world is the Taganana village. Here a small chapel can be visited only if the lady who cares of it is there. This shows us that we still can live in harmony and tranquility with the nature. Combine the visit of a University city with a laurel forest. The result is this tour, full of nature, culture and originality.

Walking away from the noise of the city, this tour takes you towards to San Andres, fisher  village built on the mountainside. Original by their houses painted by bright colors and exceptional for its yellow sand beach as is the beach of Teresitas. Sand collected from the Sahara desert, which gives an original touch to an environment of city and mountains.

Before climbing to El Bailadero and the Anaga Mountains, a sweeping panorama of volcanic peaks at the northeastern corner of Tenerife.  These places offers you the opportunity to enjoy a unique landscape, the result of a long and harmonious coexistence of man with a rich and diverse natural environment. You can not miss a stop at a local restaurant where the friendly and tipical staff delights you with canarian cheese and a glass of wine.

Your next stop will be the Pico del Inglés, from where you have a beautiful view of the north and south side of the Island. Population is scarce in this harsh region but the road that runs northwards is a constant vision of stunning views offer the island. After crossing the Mercedes Mountains, dense, dark, damp and lush where sunlight shyly show themselves among the laurel trees, we arrived in San Cristobal de La Laguna, University City World Heritage Site by UNESCO, living trace of the conquerors.

After a smooth ride through the city can not miss a stopover in the municipal market where you can enjoy the local products and its delicacies. You will return to the port of Santa Cruz after having enjoyed a day full of contrasts.
