Covering the city districts of Soedermalm, Gamla Stan, Norrmalm, Oestermalm, Kungsholmen and Djurgarden each with its own special character, this tour gives an excellent introduction to Stockholm.
Fjaellgatan with its magnificent view of the city is a must as well as the enchanting medieval Old Town, "Gamla Stan" with the Royal Palace overlooking Stockholm's inner harbor.
From the historic Island of Riddarholmen, adjacent to the Old Town and mostly regarded as a part of it, you have a stunning view over the lake Malaren and the City Hall.
Proceed past the Royal Dramatic Theatre along Strandvagen to the island of Djurgarden, regarded as Stockholm's amusement and recreation center with great parklands and beautiful gardens but also with many cafes and restaurants as well as the Groena Lund Tivoli, the Skansen Open Air Museum and the well known Vasa Museum, housing the 17th century warship Vasa.
Continue through the Diplomat quarters and through Oestermalm, a fashionable neighborhood of stately apartment buildings, to the modern shopping and business areas at Hamngatan and Sergels Torg.
On the island of Kungsholmen you will pass the impressive City Hall, renowned for its architecture, mosaics and for being the site of the annual Nobel Prize Banquet. Proceed south via the Western Bridge to Sodermalm before returning to the ship.

Note: Guests must be able to walk approximately 50 yards over even surfaces in the port terminal area and 2 to 3 steps to enter/exit the coach. There are no shopping stops on this tour. You will stop for photos only. No interior visits will be made during this excursion. Tour order may vary but all mentioned sights would be covered.
Note: This tour is designed for those guests who are full time wheelchair users. Space permitting, we will try to accommodate guests with walking difficulties, those unable to handle steps or extended periods of walking or standing. The vehicle used on this excursion is adapted with an access ramp (or lift where available) to accommodate a limited number of wheelchairs. In order to use the ramp and/or lift, guests must be seated in a wheelchair or scooter. Due to liability issues, participants cannot stand on the ramp to be lifted into the vehicle.
