Lower Old Town & Panoramic Tallinn with Coffee Break - TL82

This excursion combines a short walking tour passing the highlights of Tallinn that can only be enjoyed on foot, as well as a panoramic tour of the city's major attractions and surrounding area. Start by driving by the beautiful Kadriorg Park, founded by Peter the Great in honor of his wife Catherine. Have a photo stop at the Song Festival Ground and pass the ruins of St. Bridget's Convent and the Olympic Yachting Complex. Coffee-break will be made at the restaurant on the seashore. A short drive follows to Tallinn's Old Town where ancient walls and tower gates can be seen. After that you will walk a short distance for a beautiful view of the Lower Town with its towers and narrow streets.

En route you will have a photo stop at the Song Festival Ground and pass the well-preserved 16th-century ruins of St. Bridget’s Convent. Admire the beautiful yachting complex where the Olympic regatta was held in1980 and continue to a restaurant for coffee break. After enjoying the refreshments and a picturesque view on Tallinn's silhouette from the seaside restaurant, a short drive follows to the Old Town where ancient walls and tower gates can be seen. Here you will disembark the bus for a short walk in the Lower Old Town. You can admire the narrow winding cobblestone streets that have witnessed many centuries of Tallinn’s exciting history and everyday life. View the medieval merchant’s houses, impressive churches and one of the best preserved gothic town halls in Europe. In every single street overlooked by countless red-tiled roofs, something unique may be seen and during this walk you will witness to the best of it.
