HIGHLIGHTS: During your walking tour of the Upper and Lower Old Town, you will visit the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Alexander Nevsky, the 13the century St. Mary's Cathedral and historic Town Hall Square. You may stay in town at the end of the tour to explore and shop on your own.
NOTES: Guests must be able to walk approximately 2 miles over uneven surfaces and cobblestone streets, several inclines with approximately 90 steps. St. Mary's Cathedral is closed to tours on Sundays due to regularly scheduled church services/functions and in case of events.

Your tour begins as you drive from the port to the Upper Old Town of Tallinn. Arriving at Tall Hermann Tower, you’ll disembark the coach at to begin your walking tour. The well-preserved medieval quarter of Tallinn, with its narrow cobblestone alleyways, can be best enjoyed on foot. You will visit the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Alexander Nevsky. Built in the traditional style of 17th century Moscow churches, the interior contains a number of interesting icons and mosaics. A visit will also be made to the famous 13th century St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Your tour continues to a site that gives you a beautiful panoramic view over the Lower Old Town. You’ll see the towers and steeples rising above the cluster of red-tiled roofs just as they have for hundreds of years. After touring the Upper Old Town you will enter the Lower Old Town where you will see the exterior of the Church of the Holy Spirit. Your tour will reach Town Hall Square where you will view the exterior of the 15th century Town Hall.
Your walking tour will end near Mere Boulevard, where you will have the option to return to the ship via motor coach or stay in town for independent exploration and shopping (guests who would like to return to the port with the shuttle bus have to buy a one-way ticket).

-Camera and cash for shopping (local currency is Euro and most major stores accept credit cards)

-Comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
-This tour will operate in all weather conditions so participants should take appropriate weather gear with them.

-Flash photos are not permitted in the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and St. Mary`s Cathedral. Video and photography are not permitted in Old Town cathedrals and churches.
-If the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral has a special event or mass service, guides will remain outside and guests can enter on their own.
-The interior of the Dome Church (St. Mary’s Cathedral) is closed to tours on Sundays due to regularly scheduled church services and functions and in case of religious events. Only exterior views will be available on Sunday visits and in case of religious events.
-Visitation to the interior of the Alexander Nevsky and St. Mary's Cathedral will be without guide.
-On Sundays and public holidays, some shops, boutiques and small stores will be opened for shorter periods or closed for the day.
-The order of sites visited may vary to avoid overcrowding.
