Jewish Copenhagen Tour - CP59

A very interesting tour that combines the main sights of the Danish Capital with the story of the Jews in Denmark since 1622 to the present days. Experience the Danish capital with a Jewish perspective visiting The Danish Jewish Museum. A short walk will show you the Round Tower with Hebrew inscriptions, the Church of the Holy Trinity where the Torah Scrolls from the Synagogue were hidden from the Nazis in 1943, the Copenhagen Synagogue, the statue of Danish Jewish Nobel Prize winner Niels Bohr, the Latin Quarter, the University and the Copenhagen Cathedral.

You'll see city landmarks and learn about the important role Jews have had in Danish culture and history with visits to Mindelunden, the park that honors resistance fighters, the Danish Jewish Museum by renowned architect Daniel Libeskind, the Round Tower with Hebrew inscriptions, the Copenhagen Synagogue, and the Church of the Holy Trinity where Torah scrolls were hidden during World War II.
Highlights: Ryvangen Memorial Park: Visit Mindelunden, the beautiful park honoring Danish freedom fighters who perished at the hands of Nazis.
