With lightweight iPods® and a detailed map, this Discovery Walk program offers an easy self-guided walking tour of the beautiful city of Stockholm. This is a self-guided walking tour that is ideal for independent travelers in good physical condition and who wants to explore the city on their own. You are free to walk at your own pace and stop for rest breaks or something to eat or drink at any time for your own account. You are also free to spend as much time or as little time at each spot as you would like. While there's a suggested walking route on the map, you are free to go to the various spots in any order and then just access the information when you arrive at the point of interest.
Overview: See Stockholm the way you want, guided by an iPod®, a detailed map and your own curiosity. You'll hear a detailed description of area favorites, including Old Town's Great Square, the Royal Palace, Stockholm Cathedral, and City Hall, site of the Nobel Prize banquets. Follow the map and visit them all, or just the ones that intrigue you. Shop, dine, relax in a park – with your iPod in hand, the city is at your fingertips.
Highlights: Audio Tour: Follow the map route programmed into your iPod, or select the sites that interest you most. Old Town: Spend as much or as little time as you like at the many landmarks of Stockholm's 13th-century birthplace. Shops and cafés: Browse Old Town's boutiques and galleries; recharge with a fika – Sweden's traditional pastry and coffee break.
