Explore historic Kongens Quarter, sip up to 20 different types of rum, take advantage of fantastic duty-free shopping and enjoy a cruise along the harbor — all on one incredible tour. Begin with a ride in an open-air safari truck to Kongens (Kings) Quarter, the heart of colonial St. Thomas. Dubbed the “Williamsburg of the Caribbean,” this corner of the city features the 99 Steps, St. Thomas’ famous step street, which was built from Danish bricks used by European ships as ballast. At Haagensen House, a restored 19th-century manor, take your picture with Black Bart, Blackbeard and Captain Morgan and more at the Pirate’s Gallery, an extensive collection of life-sized pirate statues crafted from copper and bronze.

Than head to the famous Hotel 1829 and the Rumpourium, a 19th-century manor house built by a wealthy French sea merchant. President Jimmy Carter, Jimmy Paige of Led Zeppelin, Muhammad Ali, jazz legend Hoagie Carmichael, author Herman Wouk, actor Clint Eastwood and many others either dined and/or stayed at there. Taste up to 20 different types of rum at the bar, plus learn how rum is made and see the various tools that have been used in the distillation process over the centuries. Don’t miss seeing the exquisite amber waterfall, a fountain containing more than 12,000 pieces of amber jewels. After, you’re free for two hours to roam the cobblestone streets of downtown for great duty-free shopping and exploring. When you’re ready, make your way back to your ship on a scenic cruise in calm waters along the picturesque harbor.
