How to Book a Shore Excursion
With Royal Caribbean International, you can book your shore excursions in advance up to 2 days prior to the sailing online at www.RoyalCaribbean.com/shoreexcursions   Space is limited, so we recommend you book pre-cruise in order to ensure that you don’t miss out on your tours of choice.

For your convenience, information about our various shore excursions can be found and downloaded online. You can see pictures, and sort by port of call or activity type. All you need is your reservation ID, ship name and sail date to choose and purchase a tour.

Things to consider when booking a Shore Excursion:

• If booking two tours in one day, please allow 45 minutes to an hour between tours.

• Tour departure times are local. Please check your tickets for your meeting location and time.  Allow time for the tender ride in the case that your tour meets on the pier. Departure times are subject to change at any time, but you will be notified in advance by the Shore Excursions staff.

• Most tours operate rain or shine.  If your tour is cancelled because of weather, your onboard SeaPass® account will be fully refunded.

• Once you purchase your shore excursion online, you will receive a confirmation via e-mail.  After you board your ship for your cruise, your excursion tickets will be delivered to your stateroom. Again, please verify meeting time and location as some tours meet in a lounge area on the ship and some at the pier.

• If you wish to cancel your tour prior to the sailing, you can do so online up to 2 days prior to the sail date.  Your credit card will be automatically refunded.

Booking Onboard

There are three ways to book your excursions onboard the ship:

• Visit the Shore Excursions desk

• Fill out the order form in your stateroom

• Use the Interactive TV system, available on most ships

The cost of the excursion will be charged to your SeaPass® account, for which you will be registered when you check in online or at the pier, prior to boarding the ship. All tour purchases will be reflected on your SeaPass® account.

Special Needs
For guests with any type of disability, physical limitation or mobility issues, please email “accessible tour inquiries” at shorexaccess@rccl.com at least 21 days before your departure date. You can find more specific information on the web at www.royalcaribbean.com.  Keep in mind that tours outside the United States may offer a different level of accommodation.

Private Group Tours
If you are traveling with a large group or would like to arrange for a private tour with a group or family, email us at groupshorex@rccl.com.

Tour Pricing
Shore Excursions are priced per person in the specific country’s local currency. Although most tours provide transportation and a local guide, many destinations also have private transportations for customized tours. Please check the tour description for amenities such as food, drinks and entrance fees. If you decide to leave or deviate from the tour at any time, you will be responsible for the cost to get back on board the ship including any other unrelated expenses.  You will not receive a refund for any services that are not utilized.

Gratuity
Tour pricing does not include gratuity unless specified. Extending a gratuity to your guide and/or driver is strictly optional; however in some countries, your guide may anticipate that if you are pleased with their services, you will reward them in a monetary fashion.  Generally, an appropriate tip would be $4-$6 USD per person for a half day tour and $10-$15 USD per person for a full day tour.

Currency
For your convenience, currency exchange rates are updated periodically so you can calculate pricing. The purchase of an excursion is charged in the same currency you paid for your cruise. Online cancellations will be returned to the credit card used and onboard refunds will be returned to your SeaPass® account in USD.

Price Changes
Prices can change at any time and can vary by sail date and cruise. The prices in this brochure are valid for the sail date and cruise at the time the brochure was created an are subject to availability. To see the most current pricing, log into Cruise Planner and enter your ship and sail date at www.RoyalCaribbean.com/shoreexcursions.

Children on Shore Excursions
A parent or guardian must accompany all guests under 18 years of age. Children's tickets are available for many tours and pricing for these will vary according to their age. Please refer to pricing scale below

Children's Age Pricing
0-3                 Free*

* Tours with any form of air travel will follow Federal Aviation Administration requirements stating that children 2 years and older on any aircraft must occupy, and pay, a separate seat. Payment will be processed onboard your ship.

Delays and changes to tour itineraries
In case of a delayed arrival into a port, announcements will be made regarding the exiting of the vessel and tour departure times. You will be notified of any changes to the tours you have selected unless tour arrangements were made with vendors not advertised through Royal Caribbean International. In this case, shipboard staff cannot provide assistance and Royal Caribbean International will not refund cancellations as a result of any delays.

Attire
When deciding what to wear, we suggest you check the weather in the area you are visiting and look for the dress code icon in the tour description regarding appropriate dress code. If you have additional questions, please visit the Shore Excursions Desk onboard your ship.

Shopping
Many tours allow time for guests to shop or explore independently; however that time is limited and can be modified as needed during the tour. Please review the tour description and/or visit the Shore Excursions desk, onboard your ship, for timing on independent shopping and exploration.

Tour Transportation
Please keep in mind that transportation varies throughout the world. Vehicles used for shore excursions may not have air conditioning, restroom facilities and/or seat belts/restraints. For the comfort of all guests, smoking is not allowed on any vehicles used during shore excursions.

Transportation at Ports
Because several ports are not located in the city center, we arrange a shuttle bus service for a fee in those ports. Guests can also utilize the local services. A list of these specific ports can be found onboard.

Promptness
It is essential that ALL guests be back onboard no later than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.  This information is posted daily at the gangway. Although shore excursions meet these schedule requirements, even if you are not on a tour, you are also responsible for being back onboard the ship on time. If for any reason a tour is delayed, the shipboard management team will await the tour’s return. However, guests on tours with vendors not advertised through Royal Caribbean International are responsible for ensuring their return to the ship on time as it will not wait for them, despite any delays.

Legal Responsibility
Royal Caribbean International offers shore excursions for guest convenience and peace of mind. Although we have carefully selected the finest excursions at each port, services are provided by independent tour operators.
