The Azores are made up of nine islands that belong to Portugal and are located in the North Atlantic Ocean about 800 miles off its coast. The most important city is Ponta Delgada, located on the island of Sćo Miguel. Make sure you try the pineapple, called the "King of Fruits" and "Fruit of Kings." It's simply delicious.
