Cabo Frio got its name - "Cold Cape" - from the low temperature of the sea water there. A unique submarine current brings cold water up from the South Pole to the coast nearby. But the cold water is more than compensated for by the beautiful scenery in this unique beach resort. The beaches have fine white sand shaped into striking dunes. And the picturesque windmills used in salt production stand out in stark contrast to the bright blue of the sea and sky.Find Cruises Sailing to This Port
