Depart from your ship and enjoy a 25-minute scenic drive to Coral World Ocean Park. There the staff will greet you and provide you with an orientation and colorful souvenir map for your 2-hour self-guided tour of the fascinating exhibits.
Stroll through the many attractions including the underwater living reef observatory, the shark shallows, the sea turtle pool, the touch pool, the 80,000 gallon reef encounter aquarium, the stingray pool, the sea horse exhibit, and so much more! You will have a chance to touch a starfish, sea urchin, or feed a stingray. The friendly, knowledgeable aquarists will entertain you with little known facts during interactive narrated animal feedings and presentations.
Spend some time selecting a special memento from one of the unique gift shops and enjoy a snack and a specialty frozen Shark Bite drink at the Shark Bar. Once you are all done, you will return to the ship via Skyline Drive for a stunning view of St. Thomas harbor.
While much of Coral World’s exhibits and facilities are wheelchair accessible, exhibits that are not wheelchair accessible include the Tropical Nature Trail, the Predator Tank, and the bottom level of the Undersea Observatory.
Note: This tour is designed for those guests who are full time wheelchair users. Space permitting, we will try to accommodate guests with walking difficulties and those unable to handle steps or extended periods of walking or standing. The vehicle used on this excursion is adapted with an access ramp (or lift where available) to accommodate a limited number of wheelchairs. In order to use the ramp and/or lift, guests must be seated in a wheelchair or scooter. Due to liability issues, participants cannot stand on the ramp to be lifted into the vehicle. This tour can only be secured in advance of the cruise on a first come - first served basis. Space is limited but a minimum participation is required in order for the tour to operate.
