In order to dive into the cultural Tenerife, you will start the tour with a visit to La Laguna, a charming, beautiful, monumental city with many historic buildings of great value. La Laguna is currently the second city of the Island, and used to be its capital since 1723. It is considered the cultural and religious town due to its old University and the Palacio del Obispo (Bishop’s Palace). Wander by the old quarter of the city where you will admire its more representative monuments from the XVII and XVIII centuries: Plaza del Cristo with its Church, Plaza del Adelantado, Leal Theatre and Plaza de la Concepción among others.
Then you will journey back to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, for a guided tour by bus of the capital of the Island. Santa Cruz de Tenerife, located in the northern west part of the Island, is the main administrative and political spot of the occidental Canary Islands and is known for being lively city and for housing one of the most important and crowded ports in Spain with its natural bay. Your last visit for the day will be at The Man & Nature Museum, located in the Old Civil Hospital, where you will be guided through the museum to reach the most important spots, afterwards you will return to the ship.
