Get acquainted with the Royal Naval Dockyard and Bermuda's West End while sightseeing by taxi. See historic buildings and ocean vistas enroute to the bustling city of Hamilton. Your tour ends with leisure time in Hamilton before returning to your ship via bus or ferry with a complimentary pass. Taxis carry a minimum/maximum of 6 persons per vehicle; passenger groups may be combined or split to meet this requirement. A return ferry/bus ticket is included in your package.
Join a local taxi driver/guide shipside for a picturesque drive of Bermuda's famous South Shore as you head to into the bustling town of Hamilton for some Front Street boutique shopping. You will drive over Somerset Bridge, the smallest drawbridge in the world, first built in 1620. Your tour will include a picture stop at Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, which is alleged to be one of the oldest cast iron lighthouses in the world. Completed in 1846, the lighthouse stands 117 feet from base to lantern and the beam can be seen 40 miles out to sea. Your drive continues along the south shore where you can view a pink sand beaches. You tour concludes in the capital city of Hamilton where you can stroll Front Street and its boutique shops or independently explore before returning to the ship. You can choose to travel by public ferry/bus or taxi back to the ship.
Participants must be at least 4 years old and not more than 300 pounds. Since this tour ends in Hamilton participants are responsible for making their own way back to the ship prior to sailing. You may return to your ship via bus or ferry with a complimentary pass. Please note the taxis carry a minimum/maximum of persons per vehicle, and passenger groups may be combined or split to meet this requirement.
