Full Description:
Your experience begins with a guided narrative en route to the Manatee Cove launch site. Upon arrival, you will be provided instructions on kayaking and safety before the expedition begins. As you embark on the 1 ½ hour adventure in a 2-person kayak, you can imagine you’ve gone back in time 150 years and you are part of a pioneer family navigating down the inland, protected backwater estuary. Hundreds of birds, animals, and plants create a sanctuary where tropical and temperate climates meet. Nearly a third of the U.S. population of the endangered West Indian manatees lives here along with hundreds of bottlenose dolphins. Enjoy a slow peaceful exploration through nature’s splendour.

What to Bring:
- You should always take your SeaPass card (provided onboard the ship) and photo identification when in port.
- Waterproof camera
- Sun protection, including a hat

What to Wear:
- Clothing you don't mind getting wet

Important Notes:
- The average depth of the estuary is only 3-6 feet.
- Guides have raincoats for all guests should the need arise.
