Explore historic Halifax on a panoramic drive around the city, followed by a visit to the cemetery where Titanic passengers were laid to rest. This tour is ideal for guests with limited mobility, as guests can limit their walking, taking in as much or as little as they like. Loop along the waterfront through scenic downtown, past the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, the oldest and largest of its kind in Canada. See well-preserved historic homes and buildings, Grand Parade Square and the naturally gorgeous Public Gardens. Head up to the top of Citadel Hill for commanding views of the city, Halifax Harbour and the Old Town Clock. Plus see the ceremonial guards at the entrance of the Citadel. Then journey to Fairview Lawn Cemetery, where 121 victims of the fateful Titanic voyage are buried. (The vessel sank 700 miles away from Halifax.) Visit their gravesites, and hear some of their fascinating personal stories from your knowledgeable guide. Or, if you prefer, you may remain on board the coach.
