Continue to "Gumusluk" located in the west of peninsula, a traditional fishing village and ideal cozy holiday destination for everyone, which is protected against modern developments. The final of the day will be a panoramic refreshment stop in one of the greatest locations of Bodrum.

The port town of Bodrum, known as Halicarnassos in ancient times, was home to one of the "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World", the Mausoleum (377-352 B.C.). Today, it is acknowledged to be one of the best cruising areas in Europe and has become a popular resort area due to its rich history, crystal clear waters and friendly people. Bodrum is situated on a peninsula facing the island of Kos, and is the hometown of Heredotus. Some know Heredotus as the "Father of History", but to others he is known as the "Father of Lies" because of his fanciful travel accounts. Your tour begins with a trip to Myndos Gate which faced to the city of Myndos and was built during the reign of Mausolos. It was the scene for one of the greatest and bloodiest battles during the siege of Alexander the Great. Recently restored to its former glory, the Myndos Gate is one of the original witnesses for the great history of Halicarnassos. Next drive through the peninsula to reach Turgutreis, located at the very end of the peninsula. With its extensive beaches, marina, marketplace and gentle breezes, Turgutreis, the largest bay on the Bodrum peninsula, has become a recent favorite with vacationers. All along the shore, no matter where you stand, you will feel that you are in a place where the panorama is always beautiful. Continue your day with a visit to Gumusluk located in the west of peninsula. Gumusluk, a traditional fishing village, is the ideal holiday destination for everyone. It offers visitors the chance to relax in peaceful surroundings and has numerous opportunities for walking, along the shore-line and sandy beaches with stops at the local fish restaurants. Because the resort is situated on the grounds of an ancient city, known as Myndos, the city is protected against modern developments. Unlike so many other holiday destinations, Gumusluk has not been over exposed. Finally, a refreshment stop at a stunning panorama while enjoying your snacks and refreshments.
Note: Guests must be able to walk approximately 0,3 mile over uneven and cobblestone surfaces. Comfortable clothing, hat and sunscreen are recommended. Insect repellent is also recommended in July and August. The order of the tour itinerary may vary between coaches and/or groups in order to avoid congestion at the sites. Guests are requested to be on time for the return coach as a courtesy to their fellow participants. If guests should miss the coach, the return to the vessel is their own responsibility and at their own expense. Snacks and tea & coffee are included in the refreshment stop.
