Depart from the pier in air-conditioned buses passing the Castries market with its colourful activity, the historic Roman Catholic Church and the city square recently renamed the Derek Walcott square in honour of the island’s second Nobel Laureate.

Enjoy a short drive up Morne Fortune with lovely coastline views and then on to the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, renamed for the island’s first Nobel Laureate.  The first stop is the Iniskilling monument, erected in 1932 in honour of the gallant 27th Inniskilling Regiment who captured the Morne for the British in 1796.

A short drive takes you to the second stop at Caribelle Batik located in Howelton House, one of the finest remaining examples of Victorian Caribbean architecture and commands spectacular views of the harbour, much of the city of Castries and north of the island. This stop is also a shopping stop with many exquisite handmade products and a free demonstration of the batik process right before your very eyes.

Your tour then travels along peaceful back roads running along the ridge of a mountain top. This allows for breathtaking views of both sides with both the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.  Passing through communities with French derived names, you will marvel at the lush green vegetation, peaceful farming communities and spectacular views. You stop at the Rain Forest Adventure Park for refreshment and the Rain forest Scenery. You continue to Marquis Estate View point to take in beautiful scenery of the Atlanic and the estate which was one of the first and largest banana plantations in St Lucia before returning to the port.
