Travel past vineyards, lava streams and pine trees to Fuencaliente, a wine-producing region whose varied geography has been shaped by volcanic eruptions. Visit the volcano of San Antonio, where you can walk along the crater and enjoy views of another nearby volcano. Taste local distinct local vintages at a winery and, on the return ride, visit a pottery center housed in a former windmill.

Overview: Explore the island of La Palma, in Spain’s Canary Islands, and its two greatest natural treasures: the active San Antonio Volcano and its unique wine-producing region. This guided tour will bring you past vineyards, lava streams, and pine forests to Fuencaliente, a wine-producing region shaped by volcanic eruptions. Here, you’ll explore the volcano and walk along the caldera. Then, visit a local winery to sample island vintages and discover the pottery of “El Molino.”
Highlights: Explore La Palma’s Fuencaliente wine region and sample wines produced from grapes grown in the island’s volcanic and mineral-rich soil.
Walk the crater of San Antonio Volcano and enjoy the views of nearby Teneguía Volcano, which last erupted in 1971.
Admire the unique pottery of La Palma’s ancient Benahorita people at the pottery center, located inside an old windmill.

Guests must be able to walk approximately two-thirds of a mile over uneven gravel and dirt terrain, with inclines and steps. Crater walk is over rough terrain; guests should follow guide's instructions and not venture too close to trail edges. There are no handrails or barriers along trails.
