Begin your journey to Chachoengsao, a historical town home to remarkable Buddhist temples, Chinese shrines and century-old markets. Driving through the picturesque countryside, passing the rice paddy field, you will reach Klong Suan 100 year old market - the traditional market dates back to the reign of King Rama V.
Walking through the market you can see and feel the rural way of life of old Thailand. Klong Suan Market offers not only the nostalgic ambience of Thailand’s past, but also charming wooden shop houses selling vintage items and tasty local foods. The market was once an important meeting point for villagers and people in the area because it was home to the community' only pier (to catch a boat to Bangkok). A 15 minute drive from here will take you to the sacred Buddha image Phra Phutthasothon, or Luang Pho Sothon, the center of spiritual faith of the local community. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before returning to the ship.
