Panoramic Barcelona - BR16
Depart port and proceed past Columbus Monument and the promenade of La Rambla, Via Laietana to reach Cataluńa Square. Continue panoramic drive along Passeig de Grącia. Guide points out a masterpieces of Gaudi's architecture, Casa Milą and Casa Batllo. Continue to Montjuich Hill. Pass thru Olympic Ring before brief stop at Mirador del Alcalde for panoramic photos before returning to ship. Note: Must walk approx 0.25 mile over even, cobblestone surfaces.
Departing from the port, your coach will proceed with a panoramic drive along Columbus monument and the bottom of the famous promenade of La Rambla which connects the port with Cataluña Square, considered the heart of the city. From there, you will continue the panoramic drive along Passeig de Gracia, the best-known boulevard in town. Your guide will point out one of the masterpieces of Gaudi's architecture, the Casa Milà or known by Barcelonans as "La Pedrera House" and Casa Batllo. Once finished, continue to Montjuich Hill, which was claimed by the city on the occasion of the 1929 International Exposition, when the mountain was developed and trade fair halls and sports installations were constructed as well as the parks and gardens which are to be found all over the mountain. Today it is the most important recreational area in Barcelona. You will pass through the Olympic Ring before making a brief stop at the Mirador del Alcalde for panoramic photos before returning to the ship.
Note: Guests must be able to walk approximately 0.25 mile over even and cobblestone surfaces. Should the required minimum not be met to operate this tour separately, BR16 Panoramic Barcelona will be combined with participants on BR32 Easy Barcelona in order to operate both tours.
