Board your coach for a panoramic tour introducing the Slovenian Coast and its hinterland. The tour will showcase the main highlights on the coast introducing you the most important historical facts and traditions. Enjoying the scenery over the town of Izola and its coastline, the guide will introduce you to the history of the region and importance of the political decisions that were made for this land. Proceeding to the second town of Piran, there will be free time (approximately 30 minutes) for photos and quick visit of the town. Piran is considered a museum town, reflecting its Venetian architecture. You’ll continue pass the seaside resort of Portoroz, proceeding with a panoramic drive towards the salt fields, fruit groves and the traditional Istrian village of Padna. There, you will have the opportunity to walk around the village and visit the church, gallery, traditional houses. The village opens its doors for every tourist in order to explain how the traditions and heritage are still preserved today. During the free time of approximately 45 minutes, for a nominal fee you can sample some homemade products, take a sip of local wines or purchase traditional souvenirs. The village boasts one of the most amazing panoramic views over the Slovenian coast. After the visit the tour will proceed back at pier.
Note: Guests must be able to walk approximately 0.35 mile over cobblestone and even surfaces. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Amount of walking required during free time is at the guests’ discretion. Time permitting; guests will have approximately 30 minutes for shopping in Piran and approximately 45 minutes in Padna. There are no interior visits on this tour. Should the required minimum not be met to operate this tour separately, (tour code added) Panoramic Koper will be combined with participants on (tour code added) Easy Panoramic Koper in order to operate both tours.
