Belize City by Carriage - BE97
A Belize City tour unlike any other: by a horse-drawn carriage and open tour wagon. Enjoy all that is Belize City as you are taken on an intimate and quaint tour of its cathedrals, swing bridges, beautifully restored colonial mansions, elite residential areas and tropical gardens. Note: If rain is possible, it's suggested to bring rain jacket. Maximum weight limit is 250 pounds.

Enjoy all that is Belize City as you are taken on an intimate and quaint tour of its' cathedrals, swinging bridges, beautifully restored colonial mansions, elite residential areas and tropical gardens.
Your tour starts with a charming horse-drawn carriage ride along the Caribbean Sea. You will stop at the 'Baron Bliss Memorial Tomb and Light House', view a wooden structure, once a colonial mansion that later became our first private hospital. You will pass 'The Memorial Park' built in honor of our Belizean Hereos that went to fight in World War I and II, original canons from battleships of the English buccaneers and a structure that resembles a Mayan Temple in the heart of our city. You will visit what was formerly 'Her Majesty's Prison' built in 1857 now the Museum of Belize.
You will stop at the Caribbean Shores Park to take memorable pictures, then you will ride an open-air motorized carriage which will take you to the Green Patch Nursery and the St. John's Cathedral. You will ride over the only functional, manually operated, swinging bridge in the world. The moderate pace and small group of our tour allows you to ask questions and take incredible pictures.

You may start your tour on either the Horse-drawn carriage or Motorized Carriage, at the Caribbean Shores Park you will switch from one to the other.
