The glass-bottom boat departs from a beautiful bay to admire the coral reef from the large clear glass windows of a semi sub-marine that does not submerge. A moving underwater observatory a few feet below surface, comfortably seated in the air-conditioned section, guided on board by an expert dive master explaining the underwater environment. Shopping in West End Village and relax watching ethnic dance performance.
A 30-minute scenic drive by motor-coach will take you to a beautiful bay where you will board a “Glass-bottom boat”, that is a semi-submarine that does not submerge; instead you will descend a few steps into the underwaterobservatory section from where you can view the treasures of the deep. While you are seated in air-conditioned comfort, a fish identification guide will explain the underwater environment, as you observe beautiful coral formations, living reef, and colorful tropical fish. You will see our amazing coral reef without even getting wet!
After this amazing experience, you will be taken to the center of the West End, a quaint seaside village, and relax at our beautiful meeting point built on stilts on the water, where complimentary Honduran coffee, lemonade or iced tea will be offered to you, while watching an ethnic group perform their dance.
There are several tiny shops made along the beach with time for shop or relax. Last but not least, visit the only Cameo Factory in the Americas and see the art of cameos!
Note: The stop at West End Village may be replaced with a stop at Pirate Bay-Las Palmas Village due to construction on the current road conditions. If weather conditions do not allow the semi-sub boat ride, it will be substituted with a visit to the Roatan Museum and Institute of Marine Science.
