- Visit Rawson Square, Fort Fincastle, the Queen’s Staircase, and Fort Charlotte
- Explore the Pirates of Nassau Museum
From the gangway of your cruise ship, walk to your awaiting air-conditioned bus which will take you to your first stop at Nassau's Rawson Square. Then it is onto Fort Fincastle where a government certified guide will greet you and give you a tour of the fort and the Queen’s Staircase. If you wish to enter Fort Fincastle, there is a $1 USD fee for guests 5 years or older.
Once at Fort Charlotte, you will have the option of either receiving a brief history of the fort from your driver/guide or going into the fort. Should you choose to enter the fort, you will be required to pay a fee ($5 USD for adults, $3 for seniors, and $2 for children under 14 years of age) before the guide gives you the tour. Your guide will escort you to the lower level, the dungeons of the fort, after allowing your group to take photographs of the panoramic view of the harbor from atop the fort's ramparts. You will again board the bus and set course for the Pirates of Nassau Museum, the highlight of the tour.
At the museum, you and your crew will be put in the charge of a pirate that will take you on a tour of this wax museum. Walk through the lower decks and you may come face to face with the likes of Blackbeard, Capt. Woodes Rodgers and the female pirates, Ann Bonny and Mary Read. There are dramatic recreations of battles with sound and light; a number of displays depicting the lives of pirates, their living quarters, tools and weaponry; how they were punished for indiscretions, including being marooned on a deserted island; in addition to plaques on the wall providing historical details of the era.
Have the opportunity afterwards to enter the courtyard where you can relax or purchase a pirate cocktail.
