Full Description:
Board your coach for a ride through the hotel district of Funchal, along Estrada Monumental and up to the summit of Pico dos Barcelos. From 350-metres above sea level, you will have a fantastic view of Funchal and the surrounding hills.
Re-board the coach and proceed to the Parque de Santa Catarina where you can enjoy the peace and natural setting as well as the great view of the port and botanical curiosities.
Back in the downtown area, your walking tour will begin and you can see the centenary buildings as the tour crosses the city center to Sé Cathedral. Consecrated in 1517, the church is a wonderful mixture of European Gothic, Portuguese Manueline and Moorish styles of architecture. You will have free time to relax and explore Funchal’s city center at your own pace.
