Explore the ancient walled cities of Mdina and Valletta while touring the picturesque countryside. In Mdina, you'll see a 9th century cathedral and have a chance to shop or stroll along the charming cobblestone streets. In Valletta, you'll visit Upper Barrakka Gardens, where you'll see the city's harbor from a unique vantage point. The walking tour will culminate at St. John's Co-Cathedral and the Magisterial Palace, both of which house many of Malta's artistic treasures.

Highlights:

• Explore two walled cities: Historic Mdna, the former capital of Malta, and tiny Valletta, the country’s present capital.
• Mdna: During medieval times, Mdna was called the Noble City, because it was the favored residence of the Maltese aristocracy.
• Valletta: Teeming with Baroque palaces, gardens and churches, Valletta was given the nickname Superbissima, or Most Proud.
