Full Description:
Visit the most tangible piece of Caymanian heritage by interacting with marine turtles, learning about the conservation efforts, and how the turtle is such an integral part of Caymanian lifestyle. Open since 1968, the historic Cayman Turtle Farm, the only one of its kind in the world, is home to over 11,000 green sea turtles ranging in size from hatchlings to 600 pounds each.

Passing through the reception building, you will immediately be able to see the larger turtles in the impressive breeding pond. The exhibit is viewed against a heavily landscaped background of lush vegetation and palm trees. Veering to the right, you can stop and actually handle young turtles in the easily accessible display tanks; a feature sure to be a big hit with younger visitors and an amazing and unique photo opportunity.

You can also enjoy the wild of the deep blue Caribbean Sea at Boatswain's Lagoon. Swim and interact with the yearling turtles and then come nose to nose with sharks and other exotic fish as you peer through the underwater viewing panel of the predator tank. Relax and enjoy a carefree day as children run free to splash and swim in Breaker's Lagoon. Guests will discover the many one of a kind species of lizards, butterflies, and trees that Cayman has to offer in the nature trail. The Education Center is a must to explore and gain knowledge of the animals found throughout the park.

Enjoy lunch at Schooners Bar and Grill where taste buds will be tantalized with mouthwatering local cuisine. Or visit the Turtle Crawl Deli or Breaker's Snack Shack for fast and easy options to tame your appetite. Lunch is at your own expense.

For those wanting to take a little of the Cayman Turtle Farm home, visit the 3,500 square foot gift shop located in the reception building featuring Boatswain's Beach memorabilia with a range of souvenirs to suit all tastes and budgets.

After your time at the Cayman Turtle Farm, embark on an island tour. Upon arriving to the town of Hell, you will witness a very unique rock formation said to be over two million years old. Hell is famous for their post cards which can be mailed from their post office. There is also a wide range of neat memorabilia available at the Hell gift shops. After spending fifteen minutes at Hell, head back to George Town where guests can browse around or re-board the ship after a full day of excitement.
