Full Description:
Your tour begins with a 30-minute drive to the beautiful Renaissance city of Pisa, a great 11th century Mediterranean trading and military power.
Upon arrival in Pisa’s parking area, you will leave your motor coach and board a small trolley for the short ride to the Leaning Tower Square. You will have approximately 1.5 hours of free time to enjoy exploring the site independently.
Your tour will continue as you meet back up with your guide and re-board the trolley for ride through the center of Pisa. You will enjoy the many beautiful sites as your guide provides information and interesting commentary. The trolley will return to the parking area where you will re-board your motor coach for the drive back to the ship.
What to Bring:
-You should always take your SeaPass card (provided onboard ship) and photo identification when in port
-Camera and cash for shopping
-Sun protection and sunglasses
What to Wear:
-Light clothing and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
-If guests want to enter religious sites, conservative dress is required with knees and shoulders covered.
Important Notes:
-You will not visit the interior of the Leaning Tower on this tour. Entrance to the tower is approximately 15 Euros per person. Tickets have a specific entrance time and guests should be aware that this time may not be within the period of your stay in Pisa.
-The cathedral is closed on Sundays, during special events and mass services. Photography is not permitted inside the cathedral.
--Entrance to the cathedral, baptistery and Campo Santo is not included as part of this tour. If you wish to independently visit the baptistery, cathedral or Campo Santo, an admission fee is required, so plan to carry local currency (Euros) with you.
