Your journey begins with viewing Skagway’s historic downtown area filled with wooden boardwalks and false fronted buildings as your driver/guide shares stories about the famous and foolhardy who lived in Skagway during the gold rush. You will then travel 3,290 feet above sea level to the infamous White Pass Summit, which runs parallel to the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad.  Along the way, you will learn about the hardships and daily life struggles the stampeders faced.  While following in the footsteps of early gold seekers, you will see the historical areas of Brackett Wagon Road, Pitch Fork Falls, Dead Horse Gulch and the infamous Tormented Valley.

On your return trip back into Skagway you will make a short visit to the Gold Rush Cemetery.   This historic cemetery is the final resting place for many of Skagway’s colorful characters.  Your driver/guide will tell you the legend of Soapy Smith and his rival Frank Reid, as well as show you their grave sites.  Afterwards, board the motorcoach for a transfer back to your ship.

Since this excursion crosses the US/Canadian border, all participants are required to carry their passport, and visa if required.
