Admire breathtaking scenery on a journey along the world-famous White Pass & Yukon Railroad, plus meet one of the youngest aspiring Iditarod mushers at his dog sled camp. Matt Hayashida is building a dogsled team at his camp to compete in Alaskan races with hopes of a return to the famed Iditarod race. Meet this musher and his team. One of the puppies at the camp could be the next "lead dog" for Alaska's great race. Travel to White Pass’ summit in an 1898 vintage railcar along the narrow gauge railway. On a guided coach ride, stop for photos at scenic Tormented Valley and Pitchfork Falls. Then enjoy a live racing demo with sledding dogs — your visit helps fund this musher's training for Iditarod qualifying races.
