Begin your journey with a scenic drive along the Dalmatian coast via a mountain road to the picturesque town and peaceful holiday resort of Omis. Situated at the mouth of the Cetina River, many of the medieval defences are still visible on a hill above the town. Enjoy a brief guided tour and orientation before enjoying some free time. You will then board river boats for a scenic cruise along the Cetina River. The river originates from 5 strong wells and is parallel with the coast before its return to the Adriatic Sea. Ride the river a short distance to Radman’s Mills for snacks and refreshment. Enjoy a walk in the forest or aview of the river next to this magnificent old mill.
After exploring the charming natural scenery, rejoin your coach for the return ride to the town of Split. The Old Town of Split is built on and around the spectacular 4th century Roman Palace erected by the Roman Emperor Diocletian, born in Salona, today’s Solin. Follow your guide on a walking tour introducing the rich cultural heritage of Diocletian's Palace, a proclaimed UNESCO World Heritage Site. View the cellars, the cathedral and the Golden & Silver Gates, among its other well-preserved relics. At the conclusion of the palace tour, your guide will lead you to the pier. Guests may choose to stay in town and return to the ship independently at guest’s expense.
